The Nominating Committee has met and come to a consensus on a proposed 2022-24 slate of officers. The slate includes:

Treasurer – David Zavadsky
Parliamentarian – John Connolly
Liaison Officer – James Brown
Director of Alumni Programs – Victoria Cundiff
Director of Communications – Aaron Cross
Director of Technology – Ryan Gavin
Immediate Past President – Gil Valadez
Note that the President and Immediate Past President are determined by the by-laws, while all other positions are elected directly by the membership.
Regional Directors
Regional Directors, while typically elected for the same terms as other Board members, “shall be appointed by the Board, shall serve at the pleasure of the Board, and shall be voting members of the Board.” The Nominating Committee has received interest from the following Regional Directors in continuing in their roles:
Eastern Regional Director – Johnson Elugbadebo & Nicholas Hanson
National Capital Regional Director – Sean Dzierzanowski
Southern Regional Director – Victor Agbafe
The positions of Central Regional Director, Northern Regional Director, and Western Regional Director are currently open for nominations.
Presidential Appointments
While not required of the Nominating Committee, we proposed the following executive officer candidates for consideration:
Executive Director – John Blakley
Deputy Executive Director – John Spisak
In a vote taken on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, President Gil Valadez made these appointments, which were ratified by the 2020-22 members of the board in attendance.
Annual Meeting
Election of the USSYAA 2022-24 Board of Directors will occur at the USSYAA Annual Meeting, which will be held virtually on Saturday, March 12, 2022.
