Saturday Events are Set

February 19, 2013

The USSYAA is excited to announce four events on Saturday, March 9, 2013—all of which are free of charge.

Meet us at 10:00am on Saturday, March 9, at the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress for the 10:30am public tour. The tour of this ornate and historically important building is an excellent opportunity for you and your family to meet with other alumni and their families. No registration is required; simply arrive at the Jefferson Building and meet with fellow alumni in front of the gift shop. (The closest Metro station is Capitol South on the Blue and Orange Lines. The Library of Congress is also accessible via a longer walk from Union Station on the Red Line.)

After lunch on your own, make the journey to the Mayflower Hotel (Metro: Red Line, Farragut North) to welcome the incoming 2013 delegates with the annual career Mentoring Tables. Held in partnership with the Senate Youth Program, this event has long been an important way in which the alumni have aided the Program. So that we can appropriately staff the tables, please register online via our Saturday events form.

At 5:30 on Saturday afternoon, all alumni are invited to leave the mentoring tables activity and join the 2013 USSYAA membership meeting, again held at the Mayflower. This is where committees are formed, directions are set, and actions are taken. So that we can plan an appropriate number of meeting packets, please register for this event using our Saturday events form.

Finally, the USSYAA is bringing back its at-your-own-expense social evening event at Vapiano, 1800 M Street NW, immediately following the annual business meeting. Have drinks and appetizers with your fellow alumni. No registration is required—just show up.

We look forward to seeing you in Washington on Saturday, March 9!
